22nd floor and counting
So I’m sat on my balcony on the 22nd floor drinking a much deserved brandy and coke from my secret stash ( I have to hide it because the bloody cleaner threw away my bottle of Jameson Whisky that had about an inch left in the bottom of the glass )
But I didn’t have the heart to complain as I wouldn’t like him to get into trouble ,so I just opened up my big bottle of Brandy instead
The weather is still fab 40 degrees + this morning at 8am and my only regret is that I didn’t visit Dubai earlier.
It’s been an interesting trip in many ways . In fact I would rate it as probably one of the funniest and interesting ones I’ve done recently .
I’ve been so chilled out I actually lost a day somewhere and was convinced that today (Thursday ) was actually Wednesday and that I had a few more days left (sob) but sadly that’s not the case
If I hadn’t checked I would have missed my flight because It a early hours of the morning one and I thought it was the following night
But I’ve had a fabulous time weather has been amazing everyone that I met has been really nice and kind directing the ditzy British woman to the right places each time I got lost
I kept getting lost on the metro ( how because it’s only 2 lines (red &green) and they only go one bloody way ) but the metro bridges stretch over the rd so I kept getting of the wrong side and then looking around really confused that they had managed to plant all this amazing grass and swings within 2hrs .
The buildings are so bloody high it’s virtualy impossible to get a landmark and don’t even mention the building work and the cranes .I think they have designer cranes here because they look so bloody posh and clean
I don’t think I can ever stay in an uk hotel again and not think What a rip off , my hotel is fabulous big balcony, lovely bed and great shower and plenty of room for all my crap fantastic swimming pool and lovely staff and it’s cost me 400 for the week inc taxes Compare that to 3 days in London in September and it going to cost me £350 and I realise what a rip off the uk is .However it’s not as bad as Perth Australia where I paid £1100 for 8days in a Travelodge but that’s another story
And don’t mention the bloodyphones just before I came here I bought a new sim free phone a Samsung galaxy mini
And it seems that everyone has one and none of us can be bothered to change the whistle tone for notifications
Every where I go I keep hearing the bloody whistle tone reminds me of a crazy canary that I used to have
